OddYak exists so that your work stays on your computer. This page covers the website and the app, in that order, and it is short because there is little to say.

This website

oddyak.ai sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no sign-up form. Every font, image and stylesheet is served from this domain, so loading the page contacts nobody else.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser version, in order to deliver the page and keep the service secure. We do not use those logs to identify or track visitors.

Links to GitHub, Hugging Face or Snap2Deploy take you to sites with their own policies.

The OddYak app

The model, your chats, your files and everything the app remembers about you stay on your computer. There is no account and no telemetry, and the app keeps working with the network off.

The app makes three kinds of connection of its own: a once-a-day release check on GitHub, which sends nothing and downloads nothing; Hugging Face, when you browse or download a model; and web search, when you ask for it. If you choose to connect a hosted model or another service, what you send to it is governed by that service's terms.
